The Israeli Conservatory of Music

The Israeli Conservatory of Music, named after Ted and Lin Arison, was established in the center of Tel-Aviv in 1988. It contains classrooms, a concert hall, rehearsal rooms and all the necessary services. The building is divided into three equal parts. The central part includes the concert hall, and two side wings (an old 1920’s hospital), include classrooms, offices and a library.

The garden in the center of the building is a public area, bringing the public closer to the world of music and the conservatory.

Lately, the Tel-Aviv Municipality and the Tel-Aviv Foundation have decided to tear the building down and reconstruct it, while maintaining its original unique character, but incorporating it better into the neighborhood, and adapting it to current demands.

The project cost about  50 million NIS and concluded in 2012.
