The Suzanne Dellal center
Three late 19th century school buildings, designated for preservation, were reconstructed and restored to create a performing arts center. Three dance theaters, rehearsal studios and a central square with high level development were constructed. All structures were fully designed for and equipped with advanced electro mechanic equipment.
The center became the house for the Bat-Sheva dance company, and the Inbal dance group.
The Suzanne Dellal center is located in Neve-Tzedek neighborhood, the first neighborhood of Tel-Aviv, which was restored and renovated into a lively culture center of young Tel-Aviv.
It was in 1980 that the municipality had decided to restore and reconstruct the three school buildings and the area around them, turning them into a dance and theatre center and bringing cultural life back to the Neve-Tzedek neighborhood.
